What happens here

This video presents actionable strategies to effectively 'win' an argument by focusing on non-verbal communication, active listening, and leveraging psychological principles like the Law of Reciprocity to foster an environment of agreement and understanding rather than confrontation. While not a traditional 'DIY project' involving physical construction, this guide offers a step-by-step approach to self-improvement in communication and conflict resolution.

if you're going to argue you might as well win so today what we're going to talk you through is how to win an argument first off I'm a firm believer in avoiding arguments whenever you can but sometimes you can't so let's figure out how you're going to come out on you're going to do is you're going to have a good firm posture you don't want to be hunched over you want your set your your chest up headstrong you don't want to face the person dead on that's confrontational that's almost too argumentative but you want to have your feet firmly planted about shoulder width apart and you want to have your chest aimed slightly away from the person that you're talking to and you want to have your face meeting their gaze thing you're going to do is you're going to take the ammo out of their argument you know how you're going to do that you're going to agree with them as soon as you agree with their statement you've taken the wind out of their sales what happens is people automatically empathize with another person so when someone's confronting you with an argument if you say yeah I do see your point but you're going to take the wind out of their sales at that moment as soon as you agree you've now deflated them they don't have anywhere to go now they have to almost automatically turn backwards and agree with you ask for their opinion at that point you now have them on the ropes they're now empathizing with your point of view because you've agreed with them they feel obligated to agree back with you so ask them their opinion then listen don't interrupt listen let them complete their thoughts that gives you time to think about your next statement and to build off from what they're saying don't feel like don't feel rushed at that point don't feel like you need to interject that's the worst thing you can do I know it's going to seem a little counterintuitive to agree with a person you're arguing with but give it a try I think you're going to find that it's very effective to help you come out on top in an argument [Applause] w
