Remove Tape and Paper

What happens here

Once the paint has dried to the touch, but before it fully cures, carefully remove the masking paper and painter's tape. Pull the tape and paper at a slow, consistent pace, ideally at a 45-degree angle away from the freshly painted surface. This technique helps prevent paint from tearing or lifting off the wall and reveals a perfectly crisp, sharp line between the painted baseboard and the floor.
