Polymeric Sand Sweeping
What happens here
The final step is to activate the polymeric sand by wetting it. Attach a fine mist nozzle to your garden hose. Gently and evenly mist the entire paver surface. It is crucial NOT to use a high-pressure spray, as this can wash the sand out of the newly filled joints. The water activates the polymers in the sand, causing it to harden and effectively lock the pavers in place. Make several light passes until the joints are saturated, ensuring water penetrates to the bottom of the joint, but avoid creating puddles on the surface.
Goal: Harden the polymeric sand in the joints by wetting it.
