(14,344 characters)He's got his door open and he's going the wrong way down the road. It's our first big snowstorm in what feels like two plus years and it feels so good to be back at work, you guys. We got a full show for you today. So, let's get this show started. I just drove right over a freaking sidewalk. This is unreal. Have you heard about summer snow? When it falls on you, your blood runs cold. But don't you sweat your pretty skin, cuz it melts away for it sinks in. And you dream about this very night when the moon runs down the summer sky. Could it be the morning of the spring? When the sea runs, try to stop to sing. Have you heard from the sky all the down the river high tide flows around here? Through the whispers of eyes, I hear them sing. The more you love, the more you live. Do you ever feel like going back when nothing seemed to be a drag? You read until your legs gave way. Then you cried and got back up again. And it's real to think that I could fly. Cross a broken bridge in the fading light. Never thought ahead of my two feet. Never had a care in the world, you see. >> All right, we got him. We got We got Do we just He's extra or what's the scoop with Josh? >> Uh he's going to run the Kabota Skitzer for us. >> Oh, he's running the 97-2. >> Yep. >> Okay. We got anybody in the R530? >> Yep. Oscar's in there. >> Oh, Oscar's in there. >> Yep. >> Okay, good. >> And my buddy uh Muddy is he's working with us, too. He's going to come up on this end. >> Is he picking up the Ford? >> No, Zach's going to run the Ford. And >> Zach running the Ford. And uh one is going to take over a piece of equipment. >> So Oscar, how are you, man? >> Good. Yourself? >> Good to see you again. Little smaller than the last loader you were in, >> right? Yeah. I was just telling Alex, >> but we got the other Hyundai back, >> right? >> So you can we can always put Oscar in that thing, too. >> Yep. >> Um Okay. So Josh is a new guy. Oscar, this is Josh. Josh, this is Oscar. >> Josh has experience, Oscar. But Oscar is going to be kind of like your lead, Josh. >> 100%. >> Now, you're going to be running Arctic blades. Okay. So, they're very, very forgiving, but they're not indestructible. >> Right. And you know where none of the curbs are. And actually, as far as I'm concerned at this point, none of us know where the curbs are cuz it's been a year since we've had Okay, Mr. Alex has a map out. Of course. Yeah. We're all going to just sit in the cab with our maps out watching watching that. But if you think there's a curb there, you can go up and feel it with the plow, kind of feel it, but at no point ever use high speed in that machine unless you're roing it. When you're plowing, it's always in low speed. And especially since you don't know where things are at, just we'll keep it lowkey for tonight. We'll get the the snow piled up on the curb so that we can then locate them for the next one. And we're going to work in teams of two and three. That means you work in the same lot. >> Yeah. >> And he takes the lead. So if you see him pushing one way and you can come in and assist, then you'll come in and assist, but he'll be the primary person, you'll be secondary until you start to get that pattern and that pattern will start to feel good. You'll feel right and you'll be able to move ahead of him then uh in the pattern where like you may go up and Alex, you could jump in anytime you want, but you may want to go up and back drag some curbs so the loader could come in and do a big push. But now I think you guys have almost the same size pushers on, don't don't they, Alex? >> I think he's got a 12 and that's a 15. I think >> 15. And you look like you haven't slept yet today. >> No, I haven't. >> Okay. >> I've been busy all day. So, it was just one of those days on top of the plowing. So, >> Okay. But we have all the equipment running again. >> Everything is working. Awesome. >> Yep. >> So, we're going to start right in this lot right over here. Um, Oscar, if you need Josh to do anything to help you make things better, Oscar's been with us for this is his third season now. >> So, just and if you got any questions, ask him, ask me, ask Alex. We'll be here. I'll be I'll be I film everything, so we'll have some cameras going and stuff, but don't worry about that. And every now and then, I'll I'm going to probably jump in a loader and grab it and let you guys take a break so I can go get some footage. But what's up? Anything else? No, just the skid steer does a lot of the detail work. You know, the tight tedious spots where the big loader it's more efficient for that just to do the long passes down and you kind of come in, pull all the spots back, move on. He'll come in, push everything. So, >> and then it's there might be a point where you're all just pushing long paths down, you know, >> and no cigarettes in my in the bottom of my skid loader. You can smoke. >> I don't want them left in my skid loader, though, because I want to crawl into it. It's a new machine. I want to crawl into it and have it smell just like a brand new machine. just like all of them should smell like. So, >> yep. Pretty easy going once you get the hang of it. >> Yeah. So, that's a good machine, too. So, it's got nice tracks on it and >> brand new. >> Yeah. >> 90. It's got a what? Less than 100 hours on it. >> For sure. Less than 100 hours. >> And it's got more power than his loader. >> Yeah. >> That's I think it's our most powerful loader we have besides the Hyundai. >> Yeah, it is. >> Yeah. >> Just comes down to the traction of it, you know? That's what sucks. It's got the power, but the tracks just don't back the power. >> Not not unless it's got great allseasons. All right. Well, you want to just show them around and Oscar, you're you're free. I'll go start setting up cameras in the front and >> uh we'll get things fired up and going from here. >> What's >> Yeah, I don't really want you getting much closer than that. >> What's So, we have three crews. What do we got on Do we have each crew built the same? >> Um, no. On on the north St. Paul, we got north and south side. It's got two loaders and one skid. >> Okay. Okay. On each side. And the St. Paul schools is uh four trucks and one skiddy. >> I got the trailer on my truck. So that >> What about the third crew? >> That's the third crew is the trucks and the skid. >> Oh, okay. Okay. >> So the other two crews have the same division. >> Yep. And then actually we got four because Miles takes his loader and pickup truck out and goes and hits some of those St. Paul schools. >> Yeah. But he's acting as a sub. >> Yeah, he's a sub. >> Um you guys can ride together. You might Yeah, you might as well take his truck and ride together. I'll set up, Cand. Heat. Heat. All right. Can't make this up. We're just going to fix the turbo and replace it out here right now. Out in the field. We got to have this machine. It's 12:15 midnight. We'll get her done. Let's show you what we're dealing with here. We just got I don't know if you can see that. We got a nasty oil leak. You can turn your Thanks, Oscar. Nasty oil leak right there. We've already replaced the hose clamp. So, we're just going to put a whole new unit in. You throw enough at the wall, some of it's going to stick. So, we noticed a small oil leak on the turbo coming from this sledge, and we decided to buy an extra one and have it on hand just in case anything happened with it. But before we went through and took the entire turbo out and replaced it, we wanted to see if we were just having an oil leak from a seal or a hose clamp or where it could have been coming from. >> Just a little bit. any leaks. It It is coming out of the I see it now on the we up here. There's like a little hole up here. You hear that? I did just hear that. It could have been one of my tools. It sounded like one of your tools. Yeah, it was one of your tools. It's your ra your ratchet over here. >> Oh, yeah. Okay. So, that does mean we need a new turbo then. All right. He tried to get it replaced, but we got better things to do. You think we can limp it? Yeah. I don't think the turbo itself is blowing. I think the seal is leaking what it is. >> Yeah, I agree. I mean I mean otherwise it was blowing. We'd hear it. You'd feel it. You'd know it. It would be making some wild metal on metal noises >> right now. Yeah, it would sound like death right now. Hey, we're going to have to limp it through. Oscar, we're just going to have to keep an eye on it. Maybe stop and check the oil once in a while and just I we're just going to limp. >> We're going to limp. >> Yeah. I was telling Alex, it's never a good thing when I have a gut feeling that I need to bring the big emergency flashlight for repairs. It's almost like I knew it was going to happen. >> Yeah. Hopefully, it's the only time we need to bring it out tonight. >> Yeah, I know, right? >> Oscar, are you going over to the center with them guys? Hey, are you going to the same center with those guys? >> I'm just going to start the church. The >> church? All right. >> I'm going to start doing the parking lots for the piles. >> Yeah. Okay. put the driveways. They'll get a nice clean shot looking stuff. >> Sounds good. How's the other teams doing? >> They're doing good. >> Uh just check the oil every 30 minutes. How much was it on the dip? Was it full? Half full. >> It was full. >> Full. >> It was full. >> Okay. >> So, we didn't lose any oil that I mean, from what I could tell, it was full. But we'll check it in 30 minutes. >> Yeah. Check it in 30. >> You going over to the other teams? >> Yeah. I'll go find where the other guys went. >> What I want putting one foot down, one step at a time. Let the road turn. That's just fine. People ask all the questions. The box you in to classify your life with stroke of a pen. Take those old rules, crumple them, and throw them out. We're burning that box right now. Mold breakers, movers and shakers, don't ever silence your voice. Dream makers, risk takers, don't ever silence your voice. If you think you were made just to blend right in, to avoid big mistakes or to tally your sins, you might get to the end. Doing nothing wrong to find you never lived at all. Mold breakers, movers and shakers, don't ever silence your voice. Dream makers risk takers. Don't ever silence your voice. Take them all back. Take them all back. Now compromises we make so we'll never fall in the skies being realistic. Yeah. Stepping out of the shadows breakers movers and shakers to all the high stage players. All your boys dream. breakers. >> The only problem >> with these first snows like this, you can't see any of the curbs. Like that's an entire island right there. What? What are you talking about, dirt monkey? There's nothing there. Exactly. That's the problem. I can't make it up. That's the wrong way. What the He's got his door open and he's going the wrong way down the road. All right, these guys are kicking butt over here. I wonder why. And we got the biggest loader on the entire team. >> When I wake up in the morning, drinking coffee on my balcony, trees are dancing to the whistle of the wind. Lord, I'm thankful for everything. When is this dark light my way? Bless my heart. Lord, bless my day. I had a hard time, but you've always been around. Please don't leave me, Lord. Stay around from the cradle to the grave. You give me everything. I've got it all. Your light is shining and I'm thankful every day. Lord, I'm thankful for everything from the to the grave. You give me everything. I've got it all. Your light is shining. And I'm thankful every day, Lord. I'm thankful for everything to you. So, this is our little baby mechalac loader, and we love this thing. It has dirt tires, but those have studs in them, and those studs have proven to be absolutely priceless. Just watch. Now, our Hyundai loader has a special blade by Arctic. It was made for a company up in Canada that had to road their equipment from one job site to the next. So, when you look at those side wings, they're extra deep. Although the pusher itself isn't super wide, the side wings are so deep that it allows it to contain a lot more snow, but it also allows the machine to travel down the road from one job site to the next. So you're not clipping mailboxes, cars, or pedestrians, or whatever else you may come across. Now, the Hyundai also has dedicated snow tires on it. And the difference between a snow tire and a dirt tire is not just in the tread pattern, but in the softness of the rubber as well and the shape of the tire. You'll notice these tires have have a more squared off appearance, so more of the tread lays down onto the asphalt, and the softer rubber allows it to remain flexible even in colder temperatures. Heat. Heat. And this is exactly why the Arctic Pusher is designed the way it is. I'm following behind the Hyundai right now. And she's not taking up the entire road. If I had a 15 or an 18 ft pusher on there, we'd be in both lanes. But we have to mo we have to drive that thing from one site to the next site. So, it has the capacity of a much larger pusher, but it's pretty compact going down the road. That's what those big wings are for. Watch out, little tiny baby truck. Nope, not your turn yet, buddy. All right. Well, that's going to call it for this night. I hope you guys enjoyed going along for the ride. We've got four schools, five schools down, and something like 31 to go. Oops, that light was pink. So, we're off to the next one. But that means I'm going to start working. Stop playing with cameras and start working. I hope whatever you're doing turns out awesome. And thanks for going along for the ride tonight. God bless and go get them, you guys. We'll see you on another one.
