What happens here
Begin the painting process by carefully applying masking tape, specifically FrogTape Yellow, along the entire edge of the flooring where it meets the baseboard or trim. This creates a barrier to protect your floors from accidental paint drips and brush strokes. Ensure the tape is pressed down firmly to create a clean, tight seal. Once the protective tape is in place, dip your chosen paintbrush into the paint. For this project, the painter uses a white paint, such as Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane. Apply an even coat of paint to the baseboard, moving the brush smoothly along the trim, staying within the boundaries set by the masking tape.
Goal: Apply protective tape to the floor and the first coat of paint to the baseboards.
