What happens here

After sanding, prepare the Zinsser Triple Thick Peel Stop primer by stirring it thoroughly in its bucket with a paint stirring stick to ensure a consistent texture. Then, using a clean paint brush, apply a first generous coat of this super-thick, high-resin primer to all the previously sanded areas on the door jamb, ensuring that it covers and starts to 'feather out' the edges of the old peeling paint.

Goal: Apply the first coat of high-build primer to cover peeling areas.
