Painting Stucco & Repairing Cracks With Caulking & Elastomeric Paint

What happens here

The next phase involves outlining the two-pronged strategy for crack repair: first, applying caulk to pre-fill larger cracks, and then spraying the entire surface with a specialized elastomeric paint. The elastomeric paint, specifically Sherwin Williams SherLastic, is designed to span and seal hairline cracks in stucco or concrete. However, for cracks that are too wide for the paint to bridge effectively on its own, pre-caulking is essential.

Goal: Determine the optimal repair approach for various crack sizes and select appropriate crack-spanning products.

What they say

they're willing to sacrifice cocking the cracks and where that actually shows sometimes worse than the crack, but the customer wants the cracks cocked. And so we're cocking it and then we're actually painting it with a product that's designed to span hairline cracks and stucco or concrete. And it's a product from Sherwims called Sherastic. And we're spraying that on here. And some of these cracks are way too big for the product to span the gap of. So we're cocking them first and then spraying over it with the shastic. And we're spraying it with a very large tip. We're using a 621 or a 623 tip to spray on a very thick thick coating. And we're trying to spray it about 20 ms thick. So you're spraying it on extremely thick. So expand so expand that gap of the cracks and give a nice flexible coating that won't snap and break. So we're going to show you that process of cocking these cracks and actually spraying it with our airless sprayer. We're using a Titan 1140 sprayer set at about 2200 PSI spraying all this stucco. And typically, like I say, we don't like to coaul Stuckco, but the customer is more concerned about the cracks being covered than actually the crack itself. So, um, the very large cracks that we don't believe that the the sherassic will span the gap of, we're caulking them first and then spraying it. So, we're going to show you that process
