Painting An Exterior House

What happens here

Begin by applying the masking film vertically along one side of the door frame. Hold the Hand-Masker tool firmly against the door frame, ensuring the tape adheres securely to the trim while the film unrolls. The film should extend from the top of the frame down towards the bottom. If using a film that is not long enough to cover the entire height of the door (e.g., 72-inch film on a taller door), start from the top and let the film hang down, or start from the bottom and work your way up to cover as much as possible with the initial vertical pass. The goal is to establish a clean, straight edge for the masking along one side.

Goal: Apply a vertical strip of masking film along one side of the door frame, ensuring the tape creates a clean edge and the film covers a significant portion of the door's height.
