Painting A WWII Vet’s home

You are live I am out here painting facial today Getting to the end of the day Anybody's got any questions? You can ask me questions So I'm out here today winding down Painters care, painting Painters helping other painters or people in the community So I've got today I'm finishing up painting a house of a World War II veteran He's 95 years old Absolutely amazing So back in the day when I wasn't even born Harry Truman was president This guy was serving our country So we are serving him now in painting his house PPG paint Step forward Decided to supply the paint free of the charge And I said I would supply the labor to take care of this guy So that's what we're doing I've got it almost wrapped up It's two days It's took me solo to paint it I sprayed I power washed it one day which took me an hour Then I came out yesterday prepped it painted three-quarters of it And today I sprayed three-quarters of it Sprayed the rest of it today sprayed the front door today the gutters today And now I'm trimming it out And I should be done today with the trim work So and should be two days I've only got these two windows to trim out John's with us from Texas How are you doing? So we have Texas in the house John, thanks for watching And I'm doing fascia and I'm doing fascia Is that normal? I always hand do the trim I always spray the body So it is normal And I'm cutting in If you want to know what brush I'm using I'm using a premier Montauk today Which I usually I usually use a premier Riverdale on exterior But it's pretty cool out here Because actually your paint is You dry really fast And it ruins the brush It's really fast But today And boysy It's pretty cool So it's cooling down This is probably going to be my last exterior for the season I have one more big commercial building That is I'm scheduled to paint it black Flat black It's a big metal building Huge foster weld So that's kind of cool But I don't think I'm going to get to it Because it's going to be 24 degrees Saturday and snowing here So unless something drastically changes after that I'm not going to be able to Get it done How many coats are you doing on the fascia? So I'll tell you this is the PPG paint So this is the PPG pinewes So they They provided the paint So obviously my opinion would be a little bit biased But I'll tell you this is really good paint So we need to pay for somebody real fast Let's see his name He has COVID's been in the hospital for four days So that's not good Not good We will definitely Lift you up in prayer Be praying for you That you heal, man Yeah I'm not greatest with eyesight So you were tying them the product you're using You said PPG timeless So this is PPG timeless And the blue I painted the blue color That guy struck today His front door And I was absolutely blown away That it covered in one coat The gray one coat coverage Well, no over spray You'll get a lot of fallout It comes out of the tips smooth And not in like huge droplets So I was impressed The white doesn't cover as well And it says it's a one coat The white is definitely not one coat The white on white is one coat But the white over the gray Is definitely two coats But I'll tell you It's I'm impressed The PPG rep got me this paint And it's their I think it's their lifetime warranty coating It's their best paint Unconvince, I think I'll probably start using it I actually like it a lot So And it's pretty good It's in the mid-60s And it's still dry in, you know 30 fasts, I like the sheen It's got this a satin sheen So it's It's working out really well There's a lot of positives about it So fun So yeah Christians with us from New Jersey Shore New jerseys at the house Why don't you do this one Just because I can reach this corner Don't do that window Roy, you just can message us And you never know Chris might need an apprentice next summer Marco says big thanks You guys have helped become a decent journeyman So good to hear Rick is in Las Vegas Sadious is Said good job to you Yeah, if you want to I definitely could use somebody next summer If you want to come Work for me But maybe You can Where I do need somebody Is in the paint like supply co-store Part time So when you finish this what project are you working on That was a good segue So I'm working Well I guess you baited me on that one I don't know what am I supposed to say Am I supposed to say the store Yes, you took a break from the store to do this So So we're working on opening our retail store The online store Is gotten so big we open The retail location If you want to come hang out Have a coffee You know with us on the paint Life through and the store Come to Boise, Idaho We think it should be open Two to three weeks I'm in there doing some cool decorative coatings Metallic finishes and stuff So I'm painting inside of that Along with Working out in the field Doing this kind of stuff too It's it's going to be a really cool store So it's more than just selling stuff It's more about An experience you know And coming there Learning Hanging out, seeing some paint life Memorabilia And stuff, hang on the walls and stuff And having a free cup of Expresso on us So Yeah and get some free swag And You can come talk to Lisa She's going to be there Working in the store So I'm sure There's going to be some people Want to come meet Lisa right I think everybody's gone They're like Done conversation Everybody's laughed So do you have anything about Special about doing this trim on this window But I'm just I spray the body And I'm pulling this off And now I've got to Trim it out So just putting on I got to do two coats Roy said it'll bring us paint life coffee cups So stay tuned We're hoping to be open within the next month And we're excited Yeah hopefully Like Lisa said Hopefully two to three weeks maybe Here pretty soon I got Probably the best marketing guy Web development guy I've ever met Working on it right now So I'm excited because I've already seen The majority of what it looks like And it's going to be one Killer website So where you can go get free information Learned stuff and it's just part of You know us helping teach And educate people with trades And that's what we're passionate about And helping other painters Painters care Painters helping painters That's what we want To promote here So Ken Ryan just received a gun from us He purchases him off he a member In Australia So it got shipped So we need to hear how it works for you That's cool What gun? I used an RX pro And an RX 80 gun So I used those two guns I used a Titan So on this little house I had three sprayers gone That's how you paint and paint fast Inefficient I had a Titan 410 Spraying the front door I had a Titan 840 spray in the body So Three sprayers gone So Troy just said He just got a Craft cardboard shield from you guys And loves it Would you have been able to get this house done If you hadn't had that cardboard shield Is efficiently as you did I think like I think I can just get anything done And just make do with anything But I think it's the tool On my tool bag And all these little things Are pretty cool Making your life a lot easier And more efficient So this is on my tool belt I keep it This is the new addition to my tool belt But he just bought the craft shield holder And thanks for it It's amazing So that's the best cardboard shield holder Hands down and ever use Because it's adjustable I have a little tape So Ken said he really liked The Titan gun He said it's a beauty So The Titan gun Is a trigger pole So I'm getting old And the older guns All the older guns Like the Graco contractor gun I absolutely loved it But it gives me tendonitis My hands because the trigger pole is so tight I'm roll a tape Now I don't have to go around And search for a roll of tape I typically always have a roll of tape on me And it wasn't a painter That created that It was a guy in the film industry And they're called gaffers And the gaffers I'm carrying tape on Typically a Velcro When those Velcro loops And they're always fumbling with it Trying to get it off It's called the tough gaff Absolutely amazing And it's actually saved my Rear in multiple times On this house always having tape With me So when I was trapping it Instead of keeping it in my mouth Now I can talk And teach at the same time Because I don't have it on now Use a mic on me And if it's in my mouth I can talk And I can just swell up Right there So frog tape production tape Profit says can you say happy birthday To my friend Nick Gets Nick gets I think something Happy birthday Nick I've even seen you song Happy birthday Tuneck Happy birthday Tuneck Happy birthday to Nick Tuneck gets coming out And watching us supporting us We only exist because you watch us So Troy said He got the tadpole tape cutter To try out and actually really enjoy them Perfect lines for getting perfect cuts So that's what we like to hear Sean Brogan Gave $25 and said thank you for supporting our vet So Sean I appreciate it very much So that gets back to this whole Scenario And I want to encourage you guys Painter's care I'm giving back I'm painting this guy's house A World War II veteran That is still alive He brought his uniform out today I got to take a picture with him I'm totally stoked I got to talk to him On a camera It's going to be part of my video About this guy And that's He's still here And he served our country Before I was even born In World War II So we have the freedom To make money as painters To worship on Sundays And do the things we want to do Because of these guys That served our country That fought and died for our country So we appreciate him very much He's a painter who cares Giving back to my community And this gentleman So I encourage you guys Whether it's graffiti removal Whether it's serving In the community for your church Meals on wheels Serving meals downtown to the homeless Giving out blankets Whatever you can do to give back And if you're a painter Give back by painting So that's my talent I don't have a lot of other talents I can paint So that's what I do So I'm painting this guy's house So And the store where we started So that you can help painters out To get the tools that you use And Chris Montego is from UK and he said Thanks for the straight cut blade So we've Shipped all over There was a straight cut blade The reason I started this store Because everybody's asking me about the tools I'm using And they can't find them in the tool stores And they're asking me where do I get it Where do I find this?
