Canada so I'm we're gonna be talking about tonight I'm gonna be talking about some job site safety why is that because you post stuff and people have opinions when they see like 30 seconds of your day and they think that's your whole day and so maybe that's what brings it to your mind yeah it's so interesting how us pain doing yo painting a wall with an extension pole can bring out so many reactions from people that yeah we should be using scaffolding and now we have a ladder a 24 foot ladder and I just post a picture of Zach on the ladder and how that brings up a lot of emotions yeah so we're gonna be talking about that and answering questions job site safety if you have any jobsite safety tips let us know yeah and we have a big week we do we are taking on a really big week we're so excited with this Wednesday this I'm like 5 in the morning you are making a guest appearance at the painting Expo and I'm just with you whatever your paint wife yep I'm making waves make an shout out to family man he says it's too cold to paint in aw and they're cold yeah the cold came to Idaho today so Katy johnny has a question about painting white colors how can it be done in two coats instead of three does that have to do with the type of product they're using that's that's gonna be a lot of the quality of the product you use so on whites some whites are covered terribly and so using a high quality paint is gonna give you the better odds of getting it done in two coats but sometimes depend on what you going over if you're going over a white you know but if you're going over say black or a vibrant red or something like that we just did a white laundry room and even the white we use which was on a product from Sherwin of cashmere and it still took three coats Wow and but here's a simple tip or a trick that you can do but it will might microscopically change the color a little bit if the paint store haven't have them add titanium is much titanium is they could put into the paint you know um you know so because you eventually it's gonna overflow so say can you throw in an ounce of titanium the tidy empty titanium makes the paint hide better but it's gonna lighten the paint slightly so sometimes when we're painting whites and stuff like that and we know they're not going to cover well like antique white is horrible for uncovering we say toss in some titanium two ounces of a titanium in nitrogen and typically the customers would never notice the color difference by having a titanium zoom there you go no very good too hot very hot tip so hot tip like you so anyways we are super excited so it's always when you're getting ready to go out the door you know and you're running two businesses it's a lot of work to get out the door but you were busy painting today what were you working on today um I was working on a very nice house ice I saw because guess what I brought you a sandwich did you ever eat it I did okay and when I went to put it in your car your keys were on and your radio was playing yeah that's kind of interesting um I was just it's amazing that truck was it Ronnie oh it was very good that I think only captain Zac is the only this toll cuz somebody asked about how to get a pink run out and so this toll he didn't know about last year at this time he found out about this from meeting painters in Hawaii Hawaii I said what's your favorite do all the old that thing out of his pocket and I was like holy cow that thing is super attic and I brought it back and John was blown away and and we eventually found the manufacturer and I bought a whole bunch of oh my god I have her signs up I got a hundred of them and now we're selling them on our website because we love them in here in the US you cannot get them very easy did they come Newsies they came from New Zealand yeah these actually came I find it and this is the craziest thing because in New Zealand people just don't work in the summertime I'm you take they closed the factory they didn't they shut the whole factory down for three months because it's summer and we just don't work in summer and so it took me like three months do you wish to get a hold of somebody discuss why buying those things like cuz I just wanted a couple of them for our van but it became such a big ordeal as like you might as well sell me a hundred of them yeah and then I'll just start sawing on my website to other people so you don't have as much problem getting them but that's why we're part of the paint knife committee because we want to help you guys and equip you and educate and empower but we're learning from you so thank you for sharing with us what paint the kind of course so they sent two stickers right thank you I don't know they were like when they were designing it they wanted it to look cute but they wanted to look like you super rad or like cool but I guess cute will work yeah well these guys are from it says it's interesting because it doesn't say the city what are your thoughts with Pro Mar 200 not good yeah that's gonna be a big long discussion how you're gonna have to try to resolve that which I that I mean oh boy that's mark 200 don't you oh boy I mean you're gonna have to I mean without like completely stripping them all down come all the paint off down to bare wood I mean spraying you know spraying like a hard bonding primer over it and then lacquering over the top of that something that's gonna create this hard shell over the top of that you know that that's it wouldn't scratch off and stuff so you would recommend don't paint Pro Mar 200 on its own oh yeah yeah yeah so it's how we gonna do it pro Mar 200 use classic right pro pro classic is what he's talkin about hey you're not a fan of that I even like real classic I wouldn't be a classic on cabinets I would put something like you know the pro industrial waterborne epoxy or multi surface acrylic or better yet just use catalyzed lacquers what we use so how about here we go I'll play soccer without the knee pad on why so that you saw you don't even know my knees your thrash but it's it is a really good idea to wear knee pads and stuff and it will save you it's like one of those things is just like going out in the band I'm too lazy to go get him and stuff I used to have like four or five pairs in them and none of my guys wear them but they're more than welcome to go by them and wear them if they wanted to but it is a really good it is a good a good idea to wear yeah yeah I used to wear them all the time so Johnny Harrell says have you ever used PPG breakthrough on cabinet door PPG breakthrough is a good product for cabinets excellent I would have a problem putting on canvas at all but you your system is using the weakest lacquer we use pre catalyzed lacquer yeah if I had to go with a waterborne latex product I I would be comfortable putting PPG on my own breakthrough on my own cabinet bronzer all says our court makes the rule about it that's what I
