One of the greatest tools in our arsenal 💪🏻

What happens here

Once the entire paved area has been compacted, turn off the vibratory plate compactor and conduct a thorough visual inspection. Check for any uneven areas, rocking pavers, or signs of damage that might have occurred during the compaction process. The goal is to have a uniformly flat, stable, and aesthetically pleasing paver surface. The video concludes with a thumbs-up gesture, indicating a successful outcome.

Goal: Verify uniform and stable paver surface

Tools and materials

  • Long Straight Edge — To check the flatness and levelness of the compacted paver surface
  • Rubber Mat Attachment — If re-compaction is necessary after inspection
  • Vibratory Plate Compactor — Potentially for re-compaction if adjustments are needed after inspection, especially after applying jointing sand
  • Polymeric Sand — Filling paver joints after initial compaction to lock them in place and inhibit weed growth. Apply after inspection
