What happens here
Once all pavers are laid and cut, install edge restraints along the perimeter to prevent the pavers from shifting or spreading over time. Then, sweep polymeric sand into all the paver joints. This specialized sand contains additives that, when activated by water, harden and lock the pavers together, inhibiting weed growth and insect infestation. Lightly mist the surface with water according to the polymeric sand manufacturer's instructions. Finally, use a plate compactor to vibrate the pavers into the bedding layer and ensure a stable, level surface. The video shows workers on site, indicating these steps are part of the overall process.
Goal: Lock the pavers in place, fill joints, and create a durable, finished surface.
