Evaluating Electrified Poultry Netting

What happens here

Explore electric poultry netting as an alternative fencing solution. Unlike woven wire, this netting is designed to deliver a non-lethal electric shock to deter animals without causing entrapment. Understand that the horizontal 'line wires' are electrified, while the vertical 'stay wires' are not. This allows small animals like chickens to pass through the netting without getting shocked, while larger animals like goats or sheep receive a jolt if they try to push through or reach for grass, preventing them from getting stuck. The video highlights a past incident where a goat died due to an improperly grounded electric fence, emphasizing that proper grounding is paramount for the fence to effectively shock and deter animals.

Goal: Understand the function and critical maintenance requirements of electrified poultry netting.
