What happens here

Systematically excavate the pool area using the Kubota mini-excavator. The rotating bucket attachment is utilized to efficiently cut into the soil, scoop it up, and then rotate to dump it either directly into the bucket of a separate Kubota skid-steer loader or onto a pre-determined spoil pile. As shown in the video, the skid-steer loader then transports the excavated soil away from the immediate work area to prevent clutter and maintain an efficient workspace. The operator continuously shapes the pool's contours, ensuring the correct depth, slope, and overall dimensions according to the design specifications. This involves repeated cycles of digging, rotating the bucket for precise dumping, and efficient soil removal, constantly adjusting the excavator's position as the excavation progresses.

Goal: Excavate the pool to design specifications

Tools and materials

  • Kubota Mini-Excavator Kubota — Performing the main excavation work, digging and shaping the pool
  • Kubota Skid-Steer Loader Kubota — Moving excavated soil from the pool area to a designated spoil pile or off-site location
  • Measuring Tape — Periodically checking excavation depth and dimensions
  • Rotating Bucket Attachment — Facilitating efficient and precise digging, scooping, and dumping of soil
  • Surveying Equipment — Ensuring precise grades and levels for the pool base
