NO GIMMICKS! Garden Tool Comparison Simple ORGANIC WEED CONTROL BUILDS SOIL!
What happens here
The presenter demonstrates various weeding tools to compare their effectiveness on a bed of small weeds. First, the pitchfork rake is used to rake and pull up small weeds, which is somewhat effective but leaves some roots in the soil. Next, the handheld cultivator is used to roll through and pulverize weeds; while good for covering ground quickly, it also leaves weed fragments in the soil that can re-sprout. Then, a standard hoe is shown, which simply skims the top of the ground, creating piles and is deemed inefficient. Finally, a spade hoe is demonstrated, noted for its precision around plants like tomatoes, allowing careful weeding without damaging the plant and useful for 'hilling up' soil around tomato stems to encourage root growth.
Goal: Evaluate different tools for effective weed removal in various garden scenarios.
