Apply Black Stain to Joists

all our framing is done and now we're just applying a layer of black stain on top of the joist just so in between any boards you won't see that poking through it just kind of masks it uh you can do flashing tape on top of each joist I don't find that super necessary uh it's a it's a good step if you want to take it just a little extra insurance but we don't typically see any rot on single joist like this it's only on the bigger flat spots where water can actually sit so uh we're just staining those to cover them up so they disappear underneath our decking gaps and we can jump into laying our field boards this one's going to be I don't want to say really complicated but it's going to be complicated enough to make sure we get the look that we're going for and everything works out so we're ready to get going on that so I'm
