All right, guys. I'm going to tell you guys the hard truth about being blue collar, and I've been an electrician for 5 years, so listen up. If you work in the union the rest of your life, you're never going to be wealthy. If you work non-union the rest of your life, you're never going to be wealthy. And the key phrase is the rest of your life. The only way you can be wealthy in the trades is if you work for yourself or you become your own contractor. And I've experienced this firsthand. I'm an electrician, and I realized that the money is is in the contracting space. You can work for somebody for a couple years and get your experience in, but if you don't eventually branch out and start your own business, you'll never be wealthy. That's why I decided that I want to become a master electrician and get my license. If you're in a trade and you don't get your license, what are you in the game for? Join me, guys.
