NEW AUCTION! Selling my 2 favorite pieces of equipment online.

I'm selling two of my favorite pieces of equipment but more important than that I'm with Tony from purple wave auctions and he's going to walk us through what he looks for the kinds of tests he likes to see before he puts a piece of equipment up for sale and these are should be the same kind of test that you guys can use when you're looking to buy a used piece of equipment so let's dive into today's video I am back with Tony how you doing buddy good to see you again well Tony is with purple wave auctions and these are going up on your site yep right yep uh there's just a couple things about purple wave if you guys ever bought equipment from an auction purple wave does things their own way and maybe you could just walk us through that what way that is Tony yep so what we do is we've uh we've got over 3 000 items online um we've got a hundred dollar listing fee per item um and then we what for the purchase there's a 10 buyer's premium okay so it cost me a hundred bucks to list that and the excavator and 100 bucks to list my dump truck yup it's per item you know working with purple waves has good things and bad things just like everything out there and one of the bad things as a seller is that it's a no Reserve auction meaning I can't dictate a minimum price that I've got to get for something all I can do is cross my fingers and hope that enough people bid on it but the good side side the purple wave is there's a ton of traffic and a ton of people looking for equipment there so there's a lot of eyeballs on it at the same time and purple wave service has been phenomenal but let's show you what I'm going to be selling now one of the things we're going to be the first thing we're going to be putting up for auction is one of my favorite excavators this is the cabalco SK 160 LC this is a dynamic Acera excavator and it's got about 5 109 hours you'll be able to go to purple wave to get more uh the information the reason I'm selling this couple things I do want to go through with these guys and you guys the reason I'm selling it is got a big fat butt okay I work in Minneapolis St Paul it's one-way streets it's tight Corners cars on both sides and when I bought this this was the best option out there a midsize excavator now with the the excavators getting smaller and more powerful I need something that I can get squeezing in and out of tight sight so this old girl is going to a new home now last year we had some problems with her and then we took it to a company called General equipment out I think they're in Shakopee or something and they completely went through it from stem to stern and I have all of the paperwork and receipts so if you guys are looking for an excavator I am pretty comfortable that General equipment got everything covered on this thing so what do we could do next fire it up or do we go into it we'll put a sticker on it we'll fire it up we'll pull it out and can't pull through a video of it hey Siri huh what's the temp it's 41 degrees outside all right it's not very warm out let's see how she fires up so as I pull back on the throttles she automatically revs up it does have an oversized bucket that's a little bigger than normal but everything about her has been gone through we just got done doing a demo job with her just a couple weeks ago so she's fully operational there should not be anything that I know of wrong with it but you know what do your homework one of the things about her she's gonna need a couple things she's gonna need a seat and she's gonna need a new front window She's Got 5 100 and 30.8 hours so if you wanted to find this item on purple wave just go ahead and search that item number that mh9237 on the search bar once it's up it'll pull this up right away I'm going to recommend you when an excavator gets old the pins get sloppy and that means there's a lot of give kind of like driving a boat when you're done turning one way the boat keeps going even though you're done steering that way an excavator is a lot of life except it'll rattle shake and roll and I'm going to show you a few different tests to use just to hear if a machine is loose or tight foreign so in a moment I'm going to put her in a tight fast Spin and then stop it so you can just hear how tight those pins are [Music] what you're listening for is any rattling any looseness but also at the same time that I'm doing this tight spin you can hear how well the swing you can kind of tell how good a condition the swing motor is in people swinging over the side pick up the side spin the track one way and then spin the track the other way okay it shows both the hydraulic motors are working okay yep you want me to pick up the front end too okay I'll do both but Tony wants me to show on this next demonstration was that the hydraulics on the excavator are strong as well as the hydraulic motors that drive the tracks or operation [Music] okay Tony pointed out one other thing because I want you guys to know the good bad and in between about this equipment and to buy informed we need a seat we need a front door windshield and we got a hydraulic leak boom right here all right this one is gonna hurt because I'm gonna sell the truck that I started my company with this is the 76 Road boss now she was brought in and work was done on her and I was actually running this truck in my day-to-day operation until the day I parked it a couple things you're going to need to do is a lot of TLC and love you're gonna have to replace the fuel in it so let's see how she fires up uh not a serious note though sheesh with a little bit of love and TLC she should be able to operate again but this is a perfect project that's not bad for 41 degrees it's simply 20 some years she has a 2 minutes [Music] some reason I don't know why but let's oh crap she's still going I turned you off she wants to work when I don't want her to work so we did put a new uh warms up to stop smoking hey how long is that box 16 feet so if she was licensed as a farm truck actually in 08 and I kind of forgot what that actually meant so if you guys know what that means to be licensed as a farm truck let me know what the difference is it's back in 04 I was actively using her on a day-to-day basis hey if the camera work gets crappy his fault yep I just want to show these guys [Music] so the steering works great no
