What happens here
Once the tank and dispensing system are assembled, position the entire unit stably in your desired location, ideally near the larger unleaded fuel supply shown in the video. Fill the mixed fuel tank with the appropriate amount of unleaded gasoline. Then, carefully measure and add the correct ratio of 2-stroke oil or other specified mixing agent, as indicated by the equipment manufacturer. The speaker notes, "Robbie's gonna mix it," implying the mixing takes place in this tank. Stir or agitate the mixture if necessary to ensure thorough blending. This system eliminates the need for individual mixing in small cans, providing a ready supply of correctly proportioned fuel, preventing "blown motors" from incorrect ratios, and making it efficient for quickly filling multiple fuel cans.
Goal: Integrate the tank with the main fuel supply and prepare accurate mixed fuel.
Tools and materials
- 2-stroke oil or other mixing agent — Added to gasoline to create mixed fuel for specific engines
- Funnel — To prevent spills when adding oil or fuel
- Measuring cup/container — Accurately measuring the mixing agent
- Safety gloves — Protecting hands during fuel handling
- Unleaded gasoline — The base fuel for the mixture
