Tape Down Edges and Broaden Coverage

What happens here

After the initial masked paper placement, the DIYer uses a separate, loose roll of painter's tape to meticulously secure the edges of the already laid masked paper. He runs this tape along the joint where the masked paper meets the door frame/baseboard, pressing it down firmly to create a tight seal. Immediately after, he picks up the loaded paper and tape dispenser and, starting from one side of the door, efficiently dispenses and lays down a continuous strip of masked paper, extending the protected area further away from the door frame and onto the carpet.

Goal: Ensure a tight seal along the door frame and expand the protected floor area.
