how to mask a straight line on baseboards I take my tape I'm going to tack it down set it where I want it and I like to run runs about a foot a foot and a half and I pull it out pull my tape tight and not really tight but kind of taut and that way I can move it back and forth and line it up exactly where I want I like my tape about a 16th of an inch onto the baseboards that way if you step away from the wall your line looks straight if it's even crooked a little bit on the baseboard if you're onto the wall and it's slightly crooked and you step back you'll be able to see that really easily so keep it a 16 inch on the baseboard bring it out stretch it move it where you want it to go to keep it straight so I'm just walking keep it tight and I'm lightly pressing it down I don't press really hard with my fingers once I get a long stretch I'll run my fingers back over it I'm going to bend around this corner get it tight in with my finger and then I'll begin my next
