What happens here
Once the trim pieces are test-fitted and aligned, begin the installation. Place one piece of the composite trim firmly against the corner of the wooden structure. Use a hammer or rubber mallet to gently tap the trim into its final position. If using hidden fasteners (which are common for composite decking to prevent visible screw heads), ensure they are properly engaged with the trim and the underlying structure. For visible fasteners, drive them through the trim into the wood, ensuring they are flush or slightly countersunk. Repeat the process for the adjacent trim piece, ensuring the mitered corner forms a tight, seamless joint as shown in the video. The video demonstrates the final tapping of a perfectly mitered piece into place, resulting in a smooth corner.
Goal: Securely attach the mitered composite trim pieces to the wooden structure
