What happens here

Once the water supply is connected and active, the worker proceeds to cut the concrete pavers. As the blade engages with the material, the integrated water delivery system sprays water directly onto the cutting path. This water immediately mixes with the dust particles generated by the blade, forming a heavy, wet slurry that drops to the ground instead of becoming airborne. This process effectively prevents dust from spreading, keeping the air clean and the surrounding area free from particulate contamination.

Goal: Cut pavers cleanly and safely without airborne dust.

Tools and materials

  • Concrete pavers — The objects being cut
  • Garden hose — Supplying water to the saw during cutting
  • Gas-powered cut-off saw — Cutting the pavers while actively suppressing dust
  • Hearing protection — Protecting ears from loud saw noise
  • Safety glasses — Protecting eyes from debris and spray
  • Work boots — Protecting feet from falling debris and water
