Lighting a project is make or break, here’s how we do it! #shorts

What happens here

Before proceeding with the permanent mounting of the chandelier or enclosing the wiring within a junction box, it is critical to perform a temporary power test. This involves connecting the fully wired chandelier to a temporary power source, such as a temporary low-voltage transformer (as shown in the video for low-voltage lighting) or a temporary circuit wired to a safe, GFI-protected outlet for line voltage fixtures. Once the temporary power source is plugged into a functional outlet, observe if the chandelier illuminates as expected. This step validates the integrity of all electrical connections and confirms the fixture is in working order, preventing the need for costly and time-consuming rework after the chandelier has been fully installed or mounted, especially if using complex temporary structural supports.

Goal: Connect the newly wired chandelier to a temporary power source to test its functionality, ensuring all electrical connections are correct and the fixture illuminates properly.
