Come with me as we head to Turkey to get a hair transplant. This is my existing hair. As you can see, it's receding up front as well as the crown area. My wife was extremely awesome about sending me off to Turkey, as she knew exactly what this meant for me and my confidence level. After a quick 14-hour overnight flight into Istanbul, Turkey, I was greeted with a private shuttle card that was set up by the Fenov team. They dropped me off at the Hilton Hotel that they set up as well and I was able to rest and recover from my flight. Later that evening, I decided to go check out the town. The food, the people, the sightseeing, everything was so beautiful and was definitely not what I had expected to see in Istanbul, Turkey. The next day, the same car service came, picked me up, and drove me to the facility. I was really surprised to see that it was done at their local hospital and not just a clinic. After sitting down and having a debriefing with the physician to see any kind of medical conditions that might interfere with this, as well as planning out the hairline that we wanted to create, they started the procedure by first shaving the donor area, followed by a local aneseptic. This caused my entire scalp to feel completely numb. It felt so foreign as if I was wearing a helmet. No different of the feeling than you would go to the dentist. This made it so I don't feel a single thing. They started extracting 4,300 graphs, that's 4,300 donors into the areas they're going to be implanting. Once the procedure was done after four to five hours, this is what I came to my hotel room looking like. They brought me back to the facility where they gave me my first hair washing after they removed my bandages. This part was extremely important as they showed me how to care for my hair for the next 30 days that are going to be vital for success of the the next day. With a little bit of swelling, I was able to catch my flight back home. Nothing too uncomfortable in the airplane. By day three, I had some fluid drainage started shifting from my forehead down into my eyeballs and my cheekbones. It all quickly went away on day four, and just two weeks later, I started looking normal, back to myself, where normal, healthy follicles are just waiting to grow in.
