Kubota Mower Revival: DIY Repair and Maintenance Tips
What happens here
Using a cordless drill and a small drill bit, carefully drill a pilot hole into the center of the broken bolt. Observe if the bolt moves during drilling; if it does, it suggests the threads are still intact, or it might be loose enough to extract. Once a pilot hole is established, switch to a smaller-sized screw extractor that fits snugly into the pilot hole. Set the drill to reverse (counter-clockwise) and slowly engage the extractor into the pilot hole. The extractor's reverse threads will bite into the bolt, and as it turns, it should unscrew the broken bolt from the spindle.
Goal: Successfully remove the broken spindle bolt
