Kitchen Makeover + FINAL FINISHES (EP.5)

What happens here

Install the wall-mounted piece of the French cleat system onto the wall studs above the range hood. Ensure it is perfectly level and securely screwed into the studs. With assistance, carefully lift the assembled hood cover and hook it onto the installed French cleat. Once it is securely hung, screw the hood cover into the wall studs from the inside to prevent any movement. Attach trim pieces to the hood cover using wood glue and a nail gun. After the trim is installed, sand any rough spots, fill pocket holes with wood filler, and caulk all seams for a seamless finish.

Goal: Secure the custom range hood cover and add decorative trim.
