What happens here
Observe an existing mulch bed around a tree. Note the presence of landscape fabric underneath the mulch and the still-present weeds growing through the mulch and around the border. This initial observation demonstrates the common problem that the video aims to address.
Goal: Identify ineffective weed control methods and their shortcomings in a typical mulch bed.
Tools and materials
- Existing Mulch — The top layer of the bed
- Landscape Fabric — The underlying layer incorrectly used for weed suppression
- Weeds N/A — Undesirable plants growing in the mulch bed
