What happens here
After driving the utility vehicle through the newly opened electric fence line, observe the gravel driveway leading to the main entrance. The drive has some disturbed areas and ruts near the new automatic gate due to construction and weather. Use a John Deere 250 skid steer loader to carefully push and level the loose gravel and soil, smoothing out any uneven surfaces and filling in ruts. The automatic gate system includes an in-ground sensor that opens the gate as the vehicle approaches.
Goal: Restore the gravel driveway's smooth surface after gate installation and erosion
Tools and materials
- Automatic Gate — Controlling access to the farm. Its installation caused some of the driveway disturbance
- John Deere 250 Skid Steer John Deere — Pushing, leveling, and moving gravel and soil on the driveway
- Kubota RTV X1140 Kubota — Driving through the gate to demonstrate the driveway's condition and the automatic gate function
- Gravel — Existing material on the driveway to be leveled; additional gravel might be needed for severe erosion
