Compacting the Road Mix Base

What happens here

Once the road mix is spread and roughly leveled, use a plate compactor to thoroughly compact the entire base. This creates a dense, stable foundation that will prevent future settling and movement of the pavers. Make several passes in different directions to ensure uniform compaction. The final compacted base should be hard and level.
