What happens here
Once the gravel base is spread and roughly leveled, it must be thoroughly compacted to create a stable and uniform foundation. A plate compactor is used to achieve this. The operator should make multiple passes over the entire area, ensuring consistent compaction across the entire base. Proper compaction prevents future settling and unevenness in the paver surface.
