It's a very safe tool. I mean, I'm literally running my finger all over that. You're not going to cut yourself. If you happen to own a drill, pop it into a drill, corded or cordless, you're ready to run. It'll do it. It'll do thick stuff as well. Let it cut as thick as sporting gauge.
