Wire the Detector

What happens here

Connect the smoke detector's wiring harness to the electrical wires pulled into the old work box. Match the wire colors: white (neutral) to white, red (communication wire) to red, and black (power wire) to black. The video recommends using Wago connectors, as they are easy to work with, especially for smaller gauge wires, but traditional wire nuts can also be used.
