(5,826 characters)Alright folks, so I came down to my neighbor's house to change out a leaking angle stop. It is leaking from the supply line right here, the supply line nut, but it also doesn't shut off. It's still leaking. First thing we need to do is shut the water off. For that, we got to go outside. So I don't know if you guys remember, but Gil actually dug this whole yard up. And we're going to just go up back to the meter, right, he's tidy, lefty, loosey, to holes lock up. Right? And that's going to mean it's off. That's actually where the city can put their lock on again. So trying out a new tool bag here, got the dealer. Today we're going to be trying out this new Pasco angle stop wrench. It's actually been setting underneath my seat, my car for a couple of months. I just, I know that Replum, if any of you guys watched his channel, he uses one of these a lot and it's really awesome. My neighbor had bought one of these brass craft quarter turn, half inch compression by three eights, OD compression, angle stops. And that's what we put. And then before we take it off, I just want to see how many turns, oh, yeah, this actually was pretty loose. We're going to go ahead and we're going to take that off just because the angle stop is not working. I think we might just try to use this again. I think that it wasn't tightened enough. I think we can clean that up a little bit. The gasket looks good. We're going to open the hot side and get this line drained out a little bit. Open that hose bit outside. This should just drain. All right, that's definitely a little bit lower than this right here. Should just drain. It's got that new metal smell. Three eights and half inch screw right on here, like so. This is going to allow you to get a good hold. This by boy opens all the way up and class down. This is cool. So five sixteenths. Not like that. There we go. Get this in there. I like how that grips up like that. That is cramped down. Not here we go. Now we've got that started. We're able to ratchet. Interesting setup. Definitely a little harder than I expected at first. But going to be a very cool tool. Well, let's see what it's like on the assembly. That too. That is not ream. I'm going to run up and grab my reamer. So this feral puller, I like the British call it an olive puller, is an amazing tool. Right? You're able to stick this on there like that. Screw it in clockwise to this nut. Grab a box and wrench. As you're tightening this, it's just going to pull this nut and feral right off of there. Get a little more of this pipe cleaned back here. Want that discussion to go on. Just a little bit further back. Grab a little emery cloth and all that cleaned up. Grab a couple of discussions out of my garage. Get that. That needs to be smooth bore. Got our new angle stop. So this is the feral. And I like to go with a little bit of mega lock right around that feral. I usually put it on my ring finger because that's what fits pipe dope thread sealant. And I know we're not putting it on threads, but this is actually the part of the compression fitting that makes the seal. I'll just put that on loose. That I can get right over here and I can just put that on as far back as it goes. There's not a lot of gap right there, but it's also not stopping this valve from going the whole way on. Okay, we can pop this nut off. We'll pop our bar back on, get it on there, get it closed, and then it will tighten it up. It's always a two handed operation, no matter what, right? Yeah, awesome. Okay, that's on there. Make it and push it now. And it breaks off really easy. And this took me a sec to figure out exactly how to make that work. And I'll just have Gill go turn the water back on. We're gonna hook this up. This gasket looks to be like it's in good shape, like really all the way around. It'll accept there's a little bit of what appears to be maybe some paint on it. Just try to get that off of there. Yeah, that's not nothing. I don't think we're gonna have to change anything. That washer looks really good. I think we put it back together and we give it a shot. So now I feel like this is actually tightened up nice and snug. You can feel when something is as tight as it should be. You don't wanna crank this. You probably don't wanna go more than a full turn in a quarter. Before we open the angle stop, we're gonna open the hot side. Slowly open the hot side angle stop. And we've got full pressure here, okay? Yeah, I actually think that looks really good. I don't think there's gonna be an issue at all there. Do a couple of things here. One, I'm gonna give this one a little tighten because I don't trust it. It doesn't look like it's barely on any threads. Yeah, see that's crazy loose too. That is crazy loose over there. This thing, it was barely on. So the nice thing about these covers is there is a slit right here. Not to mention it's plastic, but you can just take this, snap it and open it. And then I can just pop this on here. All right, like so, bow here hooked up. This angle stop hasn't even thought about dripping and it's good to go. That was it, this was not tightened. It was nice. Get this other one tightened up as well. And back in business, you can see that I've been leaking for a little while right there. And then this is plumbing, right? And there is water involved. So what I like to do is just leave some paper towel down below be out of a little bucket or something, leave that underneath there as well. And just let it set for a couple days. Whenever you come back, check there's no issues. Well, then you can take the stuff out and put your stuff back. I really hope this video helped.
