How to Make money as a Teenager 2018

What happens here

Jack demonstrates his commitment to resourcefulness by showcasing his used 2011 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck, which he purchased with 140,000 miles and has since driven to 180,000 miles. He also reveals a 1994 Ford snowblower. He explains his strategy of personally repairing wear-and-tear items on his truck and adding a performance 'tune' to significantly improve fuel efficiency from 12 miles per gallon to over 24 miles per gallon on the highway, resulting in approximately $1,200 in annual fuel savings. This highlights the importance of smart maintenance and upgrades for older equipment.

Goal: Enhance the longevity and efficiency of existing equipment.

Okay, let's see some of this stuff you have. All right. Yeah, did you buy this truck brand new, Nick? No. Or Jack, you didn't? Uh we bought it with 180,000 on it. Um it currently has or sorry, 140 on it. Now it has 180 um hard work miles. Works great. Just the basics. Um a lot of the wear and tear items I fixed myself. Um things like the ball joints, but um we actually put a tune on it to get it from around 12 miles a gallon to over 24 if you're driving on the highway. So, that saved us um after calculations, it's about $1,200 a year in fuel saved. Um so, that actually was um an ROI positive upgrade. Whatever Jack's hitting me up right now, guys. All right, go ahead. Proposition me, Jack. Uh I asked him if I could go out and work with his crews and learn learn a few trades. Uh one of the things I need to master is retaining walls um and a few few other hardscape things. So, I did ask if we could go out and see one of his crews and help them out with a retaining wall or two and learn. Me and my guys. How much am I supposed to pay you for that? I said zero. I don't need to be paid. Um to me it's all about the learning. So, So, I'm laughing a little bit, guys, not to be mean, but because it's that kind of drive that tells me this guy's going to be successful because that's exactly what I would have done. Mhm. And that is exactly what I do to this day. When I don't know something, I'll do it at my own house. Yeah. When fail I won't do it for a customer, I'll do it at my own property. Mhm. Or I'll find somebody that allows me to experiment on their job, and I won't charge them anything. Yep. Yep. I've done that before. 94 I like it already. Not the beautiful, but she gets the job done real well. That's what That's what I'm talking about. I see a lot of guys investing into brand new equipment before they can really afford it. I love seeing guys that take care of their older equipment and have some pride in it, bring it out to the job site.
