Okay, day in the life of a young electrician. The first thing I do is I wake up. It's a rainy day in New Jersey, guys. I put on my Timberland boots. These are nice and lightweight. I go to my work van to see if I got all my Milwaukee tools. Boom. I'm ready for work. So, then I drive my van to an EV charging station because my work van is 100% electric and I needed to charge. So, while I was waiting, I went to Walmart and ate a meatball sub for breakfast. Once I was done eating, I go to the customer's house. Today, we're installing a home electric vehicle charger charge point for a customer who just brought his brand new Subaru EV. He wanted the charger specifically on the outside of his house because he said he was mainly going to park and charge a Subaru outside his garage. Three, two, one. So, currently I'm sneaking my wire through the pipe to the charger. It was a tough pull with the Ben guys, which was why I was counting to my bro Ken, who was also electrician. We ran six gauge wire to the charger. I then used my racketeers wire marker to color my white wire red because we didn't need a neutral. This was a 240 volt car charger and no neutral was needed. I then checked my work and celebrate and gave the EV charger a slap on the booty because it was finished. So, here it is. We installed a 50 amp breaker, double pole GE breaker, six gauge wire inside 3/4inch EMT and hardwired directly to the back of the charger. I put the panel cover on and start celebrating. Customers satisfied and we just finished. I just put my tools away.
