HOW TO CLEAN YOUR CLOGGED DRYER VENT

What happens here

Remove any existing spring clamps from both ends of the flexible dryer vent hose. These are often less secure than worm clamps. If the flexible foil duct is frayed or damaged at the ends, use snips or heavy-duty scissors to trim away the damaged material. This creates a clean, even edge for a better seal. Slide a worm clamp onto each end of the flexible dryer vent hose. Attach one end of the hose to the wall vent connection and the other end to the dryer's exhaust port. Position the worm clamps so they sit securely around a rigid ring of the flexible duct for maximum grip. Tighten the worm clamps using a 5/16-inch nut driver or a multi-bit screwdriver, ensuring a very tight and secure connection. The narrator suggests a multi-bit screwdriver can be used if a dedicated nut driver is unavailable.

Goal: Replace old clamps with secure worm clamps and trim frayed edges for optimal sealing.
