well it's good that was like a home improvement thing you know the neighbor guy anyway okay we have all of our lumber here finally so we're back on this fence job good thing that we got these posts installed before it froze because now it's super cold out the ground's frozen we would not be able to get these in right now so come check it out we're doing a modern fence install here so it's all horizontal boards and the design that we have going on here is six two by sixes six two by fours and then we'll do six two by twos up top so they're all gapped a half inch and that's going to give us a six foot fence nice clean modern looking fence install here pretty simple to do and we're using the pro wood dora color so you can see this is a regular treated 4x4 it's got that yellow look to it this has more of a brown look to it this part goes pretty quick let me show you how we're installing it so we just start by leveling the first board making sure it's nice and flat and level and then we just go up from there we cut some half inch spacers so once we have that [Music] easy peasy we're going to go back at the end and also add screws to this but every post is going to be covered with 1x4 trim so you won't see any of the fasteners you can see here we left these overhanging this post why did we do that sean is it where are you gonna screw the next one to well what we're gonna do is we're gonna get a line there that's why i put the nails right in the middle we want to put our nails over to the side so we don't mess that up because now i'm right in the in the cut line we're just running these long once we get them all installed get a chalk line cut these down and then we'll start halfway on this post and keep running this way we don't have to make a bunch of cuts we don't want to measure it we just throw them up here let them run long cut them in the air take these nails out that i just put in then cut them
