Install Inner Irregular Stone Courses
At 0:07 in
How many women does it take to lay a paver patio?! Just one. She actually has a lot of experience.
What happens here
Once the outer curved border is securely in place, begin laying the inner course of irregularly shaped stone pavers. These pavers, distinct in their rounded, organic forms and lighter color, are placed one by one within the curve, starting from the established border. Arrange them tightly together, experimenting with their orientation to minimize gaps and create a cohesive, natural-looking pattern. As with the border pavers, use a rubber mallet to tap each stone into position, ensuring it is level with its neighbors and firmly seated. Continue this process, filling the entire curved area course by course, until the desired section of the pathway is complete. Periodically step back and visually inspect the pattern for consistency and aesthetic appeal.
Goal: Infill the area defined by the outer border with irregularly shaped, lighter-colored stone pavers, arranging them tightly to create a natural, interlocking pattern.
