Hey guys, it's Josh StoneyRidge Farmer. We are not on the farm. Today, we are with Honda. I'm super flattered to come here to you to show you the first look at the brand new Honda Pioneer 1000-5 Deluxe. Pretty red Honda. Let's have a little fun. We're going to walk around this, show you all the cool features of it. It's a total makeover for the Honda 1000 Deluxe. So, again guys, welcome back to the StoneyRidge Farm channel. We are off the farm. We're in a undisclosed location here. Look at this cool room. Cannot believe super flattered that Honda would bring us in on this. We've got the new 1000-5 Deluxe right here. This is in that beautiful Honda red. And also, we got one of the engineers here. This is Matt. But, Matt's going to have to sit back here for a second. This is the guy that designed this thing. We're going to go around the machine front to back, walk through, show you all the features that I like. It is a side-by-side. It's not a lot of change, but there are some nuances here that you're really, really going to like, and some refinements to this machine that you're really, really going to appreciate from the last model. So, without further ado, I'm going to turn the key on real quick, and let this thing kind of light up. It looks mean. It looks mean. Check this out. Little mood lighting right here in the front. So, this is accent lighting that is on the front of this machine. You can turn it on, you can turn it off. You also have your normal low beam and high beam scenario right there. I think we're just going to leave that on for the whole video. We've got a newly redesigned bumper that's already set up for all your Honda accessories. You can buy a winch set up right here, mount it right to the front of the bumper. Again, already set up, no additional plates and all that stuff. Just go right to your Honda dealer. Tons of different accessories. I'm super excited to announce that Honda's actually making an elite version of this. It's going to be a cab model. So, it'll have a windshield, it'll have a back window, it'll have doors, it'll be sealed. It'll have heat and air conditioning. Super super cool. That's not what we're looking at today, but we'll post a little picture right now. There's your teaser, okay? So, this is just coming out here, guys, and it's going to be available in your Honda dealership very very soon. As we walk around the machine, you can tell we've got some premium accents right here. Honda really has concentrated on promoting that brand. Honda Honda Honda. That means quality, that means longevity, and that means affordability. So, not cutting any corners, but making this thing super affordable, handy, and helpful on your property, on your farm, and if you want to take it on the trails, take your kids camping, whatever it is you want to do. Underneath the hood here, I'm going to call it the hood. I don't know exactly what it's called, but as we pop this open, there are a couple tabs. We'll pull those tabs open, twist them, lift out, pull forward just like that, and we got all of our gear that we're going to need underneath the hood here. We can check our coolant levels. Um we can check all sorts of stuff. Our battery is right underneath here, and we have a fuse block underneath here. We also have a block for all of our accessories. So, if we want to add after market lighting, all sorts of stuff, winches, lighting, rear lights, front lights, anything you want to add to it, you can add to it. Radios, all kinds of stuff. All that cool gear that you can get in the after market world from Honda and from other places. This has little tabs right here. Simply slide those tabs in, just like so, turn this guy, tighten it down, lift it up. This is all in real time, guys. This is me walking around this machine in real time. I just met this machine I don't know. They have a personality, right? I just met this guy yeah, about a half hour ago. The doors, you can tell, look how far this door opens. It's out of the way. Super easy ingress, egress, outgress, whatever you want to call it. We're going to start it up. It's super quiet. That's what it's all about. Listen. Very quiet. So, So, noise level in comparable brands, the noise level of this thing is awesome. You can actually sit in your side-by-side, have a conversation with your passengers in the front seat, in the rear seat, and we have seating here in the front. Uh this again is set up, I believe, for Yeah, for three people in the front seat, two people in the back. The bed actually converts over to two seats, and we'll unfold that here in a second. We've got some really cool stuff in the inside of this. Our light switches are conveniently located right down here. We've got a bunch of cool accessories over here on the center part of the dash. We've got our four-wheel drive, two-wheel drive selector, four-wheel diff lock, and turf mode, so you don't tear up your lawn or your pasture when you're out there working, hauling hay bales around. And I'll show you something really cool in case you got to wrestle up a baby calf here in just a second. Cup holders. This thing went cup holder crazy. So, the previous Pioneer didn't have as many cup holders. We've got a cup holder here. We got a cup holder there for them big old tumblers that you kids love to have. And we have cup holders in the center right here. So, the center passenger, which this is the catbird seat, where you can see everything right here, and also hold everybody's hands and say your prayers. We can cruise through the field, hold hands, have a good time, get out, all get our work done. It's awesome. And have room for three people in here, as well as being able to utilize the bed. Cubby holes abound in this thing. There cubby holes everywhere, and there's a lot of extra spaces for switches when you want to turn on those accessories that you've added. Like your winch, like an interior light. And I'm told that there will also be a backup camera option available, uh that will be integrated into the mirror. So, tons of cool accessories, different types of windshields, different types of uh rear windows, all kinds of stuff. A lot of information here in the in the uh steering driver's compartment for you. You've got your fuel, you've got your voltage, you've got your hours, you've got your mileage, you've got everything. It's in park right now. It tells you what gear you're in. This thing, believe it or not, is a side-by-side with cruise control. And also, when you've got farm hands that aren't very responsible, and if you guys will remember, I had a farm hand watching my farm, and he had a little boo-boo with the four-wheeler. Well, you've got a speed limiter set up in this thing where you can limit the speed to 25 mph. So, if you're running a job site, you're running a farm, you got some guys that might want to kick around and have a little more fun than you want them to, you can limit the speed on this. How about that? It also has cruise control. So, if I've got a spray rig on the back of this critter, I can set up my spray rig, I can get my cruise control down to 3 mph, bam, set it up, good to go. Different drive modes in this thing. So, back in the day with these Hondas, you only had tow/haul and one more drive mode. You have now several drive modes. You've got four different drive modes. I'm trying to find the switch again. I just met this guy. So, we've got sport, we've got tow/haul, we've got comfort, and we've got normal. I'm kind of normal. So, but I do like to do donuts and stuff like that in the snow. This is about having fun and about having something that's super utilitarian for you to use on your farm. Listen to this door. Latches, pull shut, latches tight, no worries there. You got your your basket right here or your netting to keep you inside in case you're were to have a rollover situation or something like that, you got in a dangerous situation. This is all integrated into the door now, so there's no snaps and stuff that you have to fool with. It's all integrated right into the door. As we go, wait, wait, wait, wait, one more thing in the door here. Hold on here. Check that out. You got a handle right here. So, cup holder here and a nice premium handle right here. So, you don't have to grab the top of the door and slam it shut. You can close it with the handle right here and also use that for holding on tight. The rear door, this is also the rear passenger area and the rear cargo area. There are mounts set up right here, they're called Pro-Connect mounts and they're specific to Honda and you just put those Pro-Connect mounts in, you can put all sorts of stuff in there. No problem with all of your Pro-Connect accessories that you want to put in. So, if you want to put racks in there, all sorts of cool stuff. Very, very simple for our seat. If we want to utilize that rear seat, we simply flip this guy up, flip this guy down, that guy's popped into place and then bam. I'm a big dude, I'm 6'5" and undisclosed weight. You guys can see plenty of room for a 6'5" guy back in here. Now, you do have to reach up and clip this guy just like that. So, whether you're hauling your kids around or whether you're hauling a big kid like myself, you can still fit. Flip this guy back up, time into place, super simple. Okay, flip that guy down. There's a latch actually back here. Pull that latch. Very, very simple. Okay, the neat thing about this. Okay, let's say I roll up on a cow that's just had a calf. I want to separate mama and the calf. Bam, mama's separated. Calf, load it up, put it in the back of here, put a ear tag in, good to go. Pull up to a pile of wood, pile of brush, I can load it from the side. Also got a cup holder in here and the cool integrated handle. Very, very cool. Also, when we want to dump our bed, it's right there. We don't have to open the door and pull a lever anymore. The bed dump is right here. Peekaboo. Here we are. Guys, you know I've done some videos servicing my Pioneer 1000-6. It's a great machine. Servicing can be a bit of a bugger sometimes. The air filter on this machine before was located in a spot it took about 15 minutes to access. Now, this is how long it takes to access it. Pop these tabs, open it up, there's your air filter. Super easy to access. Clean it out, put it back in. We can also access our dipstick for checking our oil right over here. And when we get ready to change our oil, we can just pull things apart. Super super easy to access. That's what it's all about. It doesn't make any sense to have a machine that you can't check the oil in it every day when you get ready to go on a long trip. With the bed down, you also have a little cubby storage area underneath here. So, if you've got something right there you don't want your wife to see, you can tuck it in there. Like a Valentine's Day gift, right? So, roof comes standard on this machine. Always standard now. Uh they Honda realized that pretty much everybody that buys one of these machines wants to put a roof on it. This roof extends out over the cargo area, so the things that you want to keep dry stay dry. That being your wife, or your kids, or your friends. And if you want an enemy to put back here, I guess you could I don't know, I guess you could take that off and get them wet if you wanted to. Same design for the rear end back here. Um a little more uh focus on comfort creature comfort on this and lighting. So, as we open the tailgate here, the same latch system. There are tie-downs in the back of the bed. There's actually a light up underneath here to illuminate the bed. Those lights used to be right in here. And there is a power outlet inside the bed here as well, so you can plug in all your stuff into your power outlet. As we continue to walk around, these are your seat belts and everything. The lap belts are really cool. So, there's a belt that goes across your chest and a lap belt. So, your kids are super safe, so you're super safe. Even a big guy like me can fit in the back. As we walk around, integrated tail lights, everything looks good there. Honda red, we really really like that. If you go into the Elite model, this color is going to be painted. All of the panels on the Elite model are going to be painted. There's noise dampening, and Honda's really addressed a few other issues like having to open the door to get to the gas cap. You don't have to open the door to get to the gas cap anymore. It's all on the outside. That's super important when you have an enclosed cab. Honda's really thinking some people are going to put this thing down in the mud and in the water, okay? So, the charging system for this machine, and I'll have to confirm this with Matt, but the charging system for this machine is waterproof. Am I right? It's underwater. So, there's no electrical exposure. So, if you're going through swampy stuff, the air inlet is right here, way up here. So, you really got to mire up in order to suck some mud into your air filter system. Pretty cool. It's a neat little duct system right here. As we open this door again, the door handles are just a little more refined, I think, than the previous model. They shut a lot more firmly. Cup holders abound, and the cab model will have HVAC. So, heating and air conditioning fully adjustable, and cubby holes. Cubby holes everywhere. So, as we reach in here, I'm going to go on the other side and we'll pop the seat out and we'll show you the under seat storage. All right, as we open up again with that wonderfully newly refined door handle, we've got the seating options in here. By the way, before I pull this seat up, I want to show you guys all of the integrated cubby storage area. So, it used to be a net underneath here. No net now. Big storage area here. Nice storage area for your phone here. As we open up the glove box, we got a USB-C right in here. We have storage for uh your cell phone, all kinds of stuff you want to charge up. This is a watertight seal in that glove box, and there's also another cubby over here. So, you got gloves, farm gloves, work gloves, whatever, whatever you want to put in there, box lunch, anything, Chick-fil-A, whatever you like, you got it. As we reach underneath the seat, again, here are the cup holders uh for this. If you've got maps and stuff like that you need to store, if you're going up in the trails and you don't know where the heck you are, you got it right there. We're going to pop this open, pull the seat up, and just lay the seat right down here, and we've got some storage integrated into here. You've got your always handy Honda toolkit, a little storage here, a little storage there, and a storage with a little rubber. Ooh. You hear that? You know what I'm saying, mate? Can't play my guitar without my guitar string. It's good stuff. If you want to pop the seat back in, just line it back up. This is in real time, and again, I just met this guy just a few minutes ago. Honda is about robust reliability, strength, and longevity. Guys, when you buy this machine, I've heard of people with these Honda 1000 platform machines putting 20 and 30,000 mi on it. Whether you're using them on the job site, whether you're using them on the farm, or whether you're taking the family on a camping trip up in the mountains, and you want to ride the trails all day long, you just can't go wrong with Honda. This is the new Honda Pioneer 1000-5 Deluxe, and they have several other models. We'll be popping them up here for you. The cab model is what I'm super excited for, and that's where we're going to bring Matt into the video. Matt, come on over here. So, Matt, thank you, first of all, for designing something so cool. Tell me about the most exciting part of this, which is the cab for me. You guys have gone through and refined a few things that were, I guess, general complaints from people. There was a lot of heat that used to come up into the cab. Tell me what you've done here to help insulate this cab. Yeah. So, we when we started with this, as you mentioned, the customers really said, "Hey, we want to make this cab more comfortable." And our focus was more comfort, and what makes it more comfortable is bring that temperature down in the cab. Yep. And that makes it so you can be in there all day, and all comfortable, and that's why we insulated the engine from the seat and the cargo compartment, so there's no pass at all between the engine to the seat where air can come through there and all that heat and air is all hot air is all blocked off. And and we also added insulation in there, too. Nice. >> So, it's a cool off the cab. Nice. Now, the cab model again is called the Elite. Is that right? >> That's correct. The Elite. The Elite will have a windshield that has a UV protecting in it like a blue or green >> Yeah, we call it it's green glass. >> Green glass, okay. >> And that that blocks the infrared light coming in and the solar load coming from the sun. It also help cool down the cab, too. Makes a big difference if you're outside on a big sunny day. Yeah. Yeah, on the ranch. Yeah. >> Man, imagine getting out working all day long, sweating your butt off, and getting in this thing, just leave it running, keep the air conditioner cranked, and crawl in that thing is 55°. Baby, you can hang meat in there. It's going to be so good. You guys also insulated the rooftop, as well. So, you have this black ABS plastic on the roof, but inside the roof, there's an another insulation panel that is insulation serves two purposes, I guess. Insulation, beautification, and it also serves the purpose of sound deadening as well. So, >> So, the insulation So, there's insulation pads in the roof, and then there's the like a cover like a soft cover that goes on top of that like the roof of your car. And that blocks noise down, too, but it also is insulation, too, from that outside sun coming in, too, and helps It's kind of an insulation panel like your house almost like, too. So, So, with a cab model like this, you're going to get dirt in, you're going to get mud and manure on my part. Can we hose this out still? Yeah, so yeah. So, I'm not Yeah, so you can definitely This is like our standard Pioneer now. We didn't do anything left. Okay. On the cab model, we know we we had a big discussion. Is customer really going to pressure wash everything out in the thing? And yeah, you can still hose it out, but yeah. >> You wouldn't recommend jamming a pressure washer into the heating and air conditioning control. >> I don't recommend that. I don't recommend that, either. With anybody. Anybody You just use common sense, but that's not so common anymore. >> Yeah, so yeah, definitely I think with the cab models like the you know, you can still clean everything else is to get dirty. Yep, yep. You can get there with water hose and But you got to be smart about it when you get with the Absolutely. Um there are radio options, there's all sorts of options, there's a million different accessories you guys can get. This is again, thank you Matt. I appreciate you. Matt's been here, Matt flew all the way from Ohio Ohio O H I O. Good stuff. Thank you guys so much for joining me. I want to walk around this one more time and show you the awesomeness that is the Honda Pioneer 1000-5 Deluxe. You can get it in several different colors. Reach out to your local Honda dealer. I'm sorry I don't have a coupon code. I wish I could give you a coupon code for this, but so many interesting integrations that have changed in this. Being able to dump that bed right there, nice refined door handle, cup holders abound, heating and air conditioning coming, super cool. Thank you guys so much for watching. That's your introduction to the brand new Honda Pioneer 1000-5 Deluxe. See you next time on the farm. Deluxe, check it out. That's like a walk-in closet. Let me redo that.
