Homesteading Like a Boss Chicken!! Simple Tips and Tricks Raising Healthy Baby Chicks

What happens here

The heat lamp is securely attached to the side of the metal stock tank using two C-clamps. The presenter demonstrates ensuring the lamp is stable and pointing downwards, safely heating the bedding without touching it. He then places the chick waterer (filled with water and containing rocks) and the chick feeder (filled with chick starter feed) into the brooder on the pine shavings. He positions them within the heated area but not directly under the hottest part of the lamp.

Goal: Set up the essential life support systems inside the brooder.
