Helpful Steps to a LEAK FREE Solder Joint!

What happens here

Immediately after soldering, while the joint is still hot, use a gloved hand or a damp rag to wipe around the joint. This smooths the solder bead and cleans off residual flux. Once the pipe has cooled enough to handle, use an inspection mirror to carefully examine the entire 360-degree circumference of the joint, especially the back and bottom sides that are hard to see. Ensure there is a complete, continuous silver ring of solder, which indicates a leak-proof seal.

Goal: Finalize and verify the solder joint
