What happens here

This video showcases the installation of GoliathTech helical piles as an advanced and verifiable alternative to traditional rebar-reinforced concrete footings for constructing a freestanding deck. The process involves screwing steel piles deep into the ground using specialized machinery, adding extensions as necessary to reach undisturbed soil and achieve specific load-bearing torque, thereby enhancing structural integrity and preventing future settlement issues that can occur with conventional footings.

this project is a perfect use case for goliate Tech helical piles you can see we're doing a freestanding deck here so we need a line of footings right by the house and we're doing that because the grade of Our Deck is going to be below the ledger board of the house so there's nothing to connect to and right here you can see they're putting extensions on all of these footings that's kind of to be expected because we're in the over dig zone so they have to go way down to reach undisturbed soil so we normally expect that but you'll see on the next one here this would normally just be a typical 3ft deep concrete footing and they still have to put an extension on this to reach the torque that they need if we were doing regular concrete footings we would just trust that that's undisturbed soil Tamp it down and we wouldn't really know that we had an issue until later on a year or two 3 years from now we started to have some sinking so that's one of the great uses for gatech it's going to work in any soil especially on a freestanding deck
