So, I'm going to give you a simple tip when it comes to cleaning cabinet doors before refinishing them. The magic sauce is Dawn dish soap. I use Dawn dish soap. The reason why I use it, it doesn't leave any residue behind. It's an absolute amazing cleaner and degreaser. The biggest thing is no residue, no fisheye, no contamination, and you're not going to have any problem with adhesion with coatings. You know, another tip is ask the customers if they've um ever used Pledge to clean their kitchen cabinets before. If they've ever used Pledge, it's going to cause fisheye. It causes a big problem. It gets into the coating. It gets into the wood. So, if they have used Pledge, you're going to need to shellac them. Use 100% shellac primer. Don't use synthetic shellac. I use Zenzer bin primer to prime them with. And that'll resolve the fish ion caused by a um like caused by pledge. So Dawn dish soap, I just scrub them down with a Unilon pad with warm water in here. Scrub them down, get everything clean, everything off. And then I just wipe them down with a microfiber cloth.
