Gas Chainsaw V.S. Electric Chainsaw...Worth the extra Money? You decide!!

What happens here

After all cutting tests, Josh removes his safety gear. He reflects on his initial experience with the battery-powered MSA 140 C, acknowledging that its previous struggles were due to his own improper technique (forcing the saw) rather than inherent weakness. He concludes that both chainsaws are effective for their specific applications. The MSA 140 C is highlighted as a great, low-maintenance option for homeowners, residential tasks, and light clearing due to its quiet operation and lack of fuel-related issues common with gas carburetors. The MS 170, with its greater power, remains suitable for more demanding jobs. He notes the price difference (gas MS 170 around $179 versus battery MSA 140 C with accessories around $400) but emphasizes the long-term benefits of the battery model, such as no fuel costs or winterization. He anticipates future comparisons with other battery chainsaw brands like Milwaukee and Makita.

Goal: Summarize the findings of the chainsaw comparison and provide recommendations for different user needs.

I totally stand corrected about this totally corrected safety gear off hat back on I got a free hat with the song man you can't beat a free hat so I totally stand corrected on this little m/s 140 when I was working on the tree over there I guess I'm so used to using a chainsaw that uses gas that I didn't even think about how hard I was pressing up against it in order to cut it so if you just let the saw do the work it's supposed to just kick butt and it does kick butt the chain on the MS 170 was a little bit duller in other words it wasn't a brand-spanking-new chain like what's on this but I'm gonna say it did a great job and I'm pretty impressed at first there I was thinking I was gonna have to take this thing back because it was being a dog but the only reason it was being a dog is because I was dogging on it so you can't really dog on this saw like you can a gas-powered saw so I guess that's a point to consider at some point here on the channel we're gonna go ahead and get a Milwaukee or Makita Makita brand Milwaukee I think it's in Milwaukee you guys let me know in the comments and it Dewalt and we're gonna pin these things up against each other I think we'll have four electric saws and we'll put four electric saws against each other and see which one is the best performer for the dollars now here's a big question about the gas-powered solve versus the electric saw is it worth the extra money the MS 170 and 171 are somewhere around one hundred and seventy nine dollar price range when I walked out the door with this with battery and charger and an extra chain I ended up spending somewhere close to 400 bucks no gas required at all for the battery-powered saw but you do have to put Barre oil in it if you fill this thing up with borrow oil and you go camping have a nice fully charged battery maybe two fully charged batteries you'll have enough to cut all your firewood for the night of camping or a week of camping probably it's supposed to run somewhere between 35 and 45 minutes on a full charge with the good battery that I have the 30 amp battery now conversely you could also fill this guy up with gas and the oil and run it for 45 minutes also the price point again is a little bit cheaper with the MS 170 but you don't have the maintenance the upkeep the headaches the hassle of having to take your saw back in because something's wrong with the carburetor because this gas that we buy at the gas stations nowadays has all that ethanol in it and it breaks down…
