What happens here
Once the polymeric sand has been initially wetted and begins to activate, as seen in the video, use a push broom, such as the 'Quickie Jobsite' brand shown, to further work the now-activated (wet) sand into the paver joints. The sweeping motion helps to settle the material deeper into the joints and ensures full coverage. Continuously sweep across the pavers, pushing any excess material back into unfilled joints or gently off the edge of the paved area. Ensure that the joints remain full and no hollow spots are present. This process helps to consolidate the sand and ensures a tight, durable fill.
Goal: Achieve fully filled and compacted paver joints with activated polymeric sand.
