Flex Drill: The ONLY Drill You'll Ever Need (Warning!) #shorts

What happens here

With the Flex drill ready and the tile secured, begin the drilling process. To prevent the drill bit from 'walking' or slipping across the smooth tile surface, start drilling at a slight angle. This creates a small groove or indentation for the bit to 'bite' into. Once the bit has established a secure starting point, slowly bring the drill to a perpendicular (90-degree) position relative to the tile. Apply steady, moderate pressure to the drill. Simultaneously, continuously spray water from the spray bottle onto the drilling area. This water is crucial for cooling the diamond-tipped drill bit, which gets extremely hot during friction with the tile, preventing premature wear and potential breakage. The water also helps to flush away tile dust and slurry, keeping the cutting edge clear. Maintain consistent pressure and continuous cooling until the drill bit fully penetrates the tile, creating a clean plug cut.

Goal: Drill a clean and precise hole through the tile

Tools and materials

  • Diamond-Tipped Core Drill Bit — The cutting tool that creates the hole
  • Flex Cordless Drill Flex — To power the drill bit through the tile
  • Spray Bottle — To apply coolant during drilling
  • Tile — The material being drilled
  • Water Tap water — Cooling the drill bit and clearing debris
