Scoring a Straight Line

What happens here

Position the chisel along the desired cut line. Apply firm hand pressure, drawing the chisel along the material to create a shallow groove. For a deeper score, you may tap the chisel with a hammer as you move it, creating a more pronounced line that will guide the subsequent breaking process. The goal is to establish a clear, straight line for the final break.

Goal: To achieve a cleaner break, use the chisel to score a continuous line along the surface of the stone veneer. This creates a weakened path for the material to follow when broken.
