What happens here
The process begins with a pre-excavated hole and a circular cardboard concrete form tube, such as a Circoll brand form, already set in place. This form is typically positioned on a base of geotextile fabric and an initial layer of gravel, though the video primarily focuses on the aggregate filling. The operator of a mini-excavator carefully positions the machine to scoop gravel aggregate from a nearby pile. The excavator's bucket is then extended and articulated with precision to dump the aggregate directly into the open top of the concrete form tube. This method efficiently transfers the material without the need for manual labor using wheelbarrows. The operator repeats this action until the concrete form is filled to the desired level with the gravel aggregate, creating a stable base layer for subsequent concrete pouring.
Goal: Efficiently place gravel aggregate into a concrete form using a mini-excavator.
Tools and materials
