What happens here

Begin by positioning the horizontal siding panels against the exterior sheathing or furring strips. For corners, place small wooden block spacers between the end of the siding panel and the adjacent wall to establish a consistent gap, which is crucial for the subsequent installation of corner trim and for material expansion/contraction. Once the panel is properly aligned and spaced, use a nail gun or similar fastening tool to secure the panel to the building structure, typically nailing through the top flange of the panel to allow the next panel to overlap and conceal the fasteners. Repeat this process, working upwards along the wall, ensuring each panel is level and properly spaced from its neighbors.

Goal: This step involves securing horizontal siding panels to the building's exterior frame. Spacers are used at the corners to maintain consistent gaps between panels and ensure proper alignment before fastening.
